More about Muntra and other DRDO initiatives

Muntra has been offered as a tribute from DRDO to former President APJ Abdul Kalam at CVRDE (Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment) in Avadi.  These tanks are designed as an armored tank which was displayed at exhibition named as Science for Soldiers which was organized by DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization).  DRDO also exhibited the CCPT vehicle which is basically a remotely managed command center. There were also other weapons which were showcased in the exhibition such as nano-driven thermal & electromagnetic protection, helmet-mounted night vision, and laser weapons. This exhibition totally nullified the negativity towards DRDO department and their ability. S Christopher, the DRDO chairman declared that all the products displayed to convey the technical competence of the department.  He also declared that team is working on installing AWAC on A330 aircraft and is now perfect for use on small Embraer plane. AWAC is Airborne Early Warning and Control System. This will be showcased soon. He also declared if they receive fund around five lakh crore then most probably they can survive on their own. By exporting various items they have currently generated one lakh crore. A great job was done! All the best from us to DRDO team.
