Photography of Innocence

“These kids have got the eyes of innocence

Their faces are that of an angle

They have a personality of a dreamer

And a smile that hides more pain that you can imagine”

These little kids have the prettiest smiles that hide deep secrets of life.  Their pretty eyes have cried the most tears and they have a heart that have bared and felt most pains. These children do not have the fear for today or for even tomorrow. What they have is only their past and exact present and they are trying to remain happy within it.

The Concept

I was just wondering here and there at village side to have some good photographs suddenly my eyes went on these small kids who were playing on ground with pebbles. I understood they were hungry, as their father went to earn some money by cleaning roads. It will take time to come back, so I started to spend time with them. As the time was passing they enjoying more and more and happiness was striking on their face. The reason behind their happiness was as evening will arise their father will come back with some food with the help of money which he will earn after working for whole day. Life is so simple for children. They are trying to fill their life and hunger with happiness while playing. May these children one day will grow up to be our country’s bright future.  They are so innocent. This reminded me of the famous poem by William Blake. This made me to capture some shots of those children.

Song of Innocence

When voices of children are heard on the green
And laughing is heard on the hill,
My heart is at rest within my breast
And everything else is still

Then come home my children the sun is gone down
And the dews of night arise
Come come leave off play, and let us away
Till the morning appears in the skies

No no let us play, for it is yet day
And we cannot go to sleep
Besides in the sky, the little birds fly
And the hills are all covered with sheep

Well well go & play till the light fades away
And then go home to bed
The little ones leaped & shouted & laugh’d
And all the hills echoed

– William Blake
