Recap- Shsksham got formally introduced to Farhaan via Shreekant and they kept on talking over on topic related to ATC or CATC Camp held at Kalgarh previously which Farhan could not attend due to family commitments. Now let’s see what happened next:

Episode 6

Meanwhile, Farhaan asked to Shaksham, “Where is your fellow cadets, are you the only participant from HIC.”

Nope, Shaksham replied, “fortunately I got a good buddy; he is there with the luggage. His name is Anuj and he is from nearby of the village.”

Farhaan burst with the laugh and hardly could say, “What you will say to the camp officer that you have only one cadet in your platoon.”

“Yeah, of course”, Shaksham said and both of them burst with the laugh. 

“Ohh! Good, Shaksham threw your cigarette, our principal Mr. Ram Bahadur and the N.C.C. officer have come there. Damn, they are looking toward us. Might be they guessed that what we are doing here.” Farhaan said. He was murmuring, might be he was praying to God to save him.

Renaissance- The Story of a Cadet’s Life

Recap– Shaksham and Anuj reached the Nagina railway station which was crowded than other usual days. Shaksham suddenly got into deep thoughts, and Anuj went to take a quick look at other NCC cadet group which reached there at the same station. This group was from MMIC. Shaksham got to know from Shreekant that Mr. Farhan was leading that group. Now let’s see what happened further.

Episode 5

Shaksham walked towards those couple of cadets who were chatting; Shaksham was well dressed up with the NCC dress code and his DMS was shining and making an effective visibility over the railway platform which was enough to catch the attention of that group. 

One of them murmured to another “who is this?”

Before they could reach a conclusion, Shaksham pointed out the rank holder cadet, “Hi Farhaan!”  Shaksham wishes Farhaan saying “Hello!” and he made sure that he is Farhaan by matching his name with his name plate on his chest and he further stated “So you guys are also going to join CATC (combine annual training camp) held at Moradabad.

Recap- In the last episode, we have seen when Shaksham was asked about his family, he avoided it very delicately. In the mean time, they went to Teja for collecting ironed clothes and luggage and moved towards the railway station. Now let’s see what happened further:

Episode 4

THE UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT

It was 1st Feb 2009, while entering into a railway station Shaksham was in a deep thought that life is a journey and it takes us to the destination we want to reach but sometimes we are unaware of paths and phases. We spend all of our lives exploring the best possible way to the destination. Anuj suddenly shook Shaksham saying ‘Hello’ to bring him out of his deep thought. “Sometimes you behave strange Anuj murmured.” “What you just have said Shaksham asked Anuj.

“Ohh!! Nothing, it’s so crowded here look” Anuj answered looking here and there. After a small walk on the platform and observing trends inside railway station and they were searching for more fellows.

Jhulan Yatra on Jhulan Purnima

Jhulan Purnima- The Festival of Love and Romance

India is a land of diversity. Various regions have various cultures and based on that people come up with different festivals. West Bengal is the land of culture and creativity. “Jhulan Yatra” or“Jhulon Jatra”  is one of such festivals. This is also famously known as Jhulan Purnima. This is such a festival where culture represents creativity through various doll shows done by kids and youngsters at schools, colleges, and Mandir (temples). Basically, this festival is hugely celebrated by Vaishnavas. After Janmashtami and Holi Jhulan is celebrated at a mass and with full vigor at various Krishna temples in Bengal and various other ISKON temples at different parts of the world. This occasion is celebrated in the month of Shravan i.e. monsoon. And mostly it takes place in the month of July or August.

Jhulan Celebration

This year at 2017 Jhulan was performed from 3rd of August till 7th of August. The festival represents the divine love and romance of Krishna and Radha, where Gopis used to take part and enjoying through dance and song. This day is also greatly celebrated in many north eastern region of India such as Manipur and other places. Vrindavan, the city is decorated during this time and the festival goes on till Janmashtami.  Even in Geeta, this festival is quite famous by the name of “Sawan Ke Jhuley”  Mayapur, Mathura and Vrindavan. Jhulan is celebrated with vigor. During the thirteen days of Shravan which starts from the 3rd day of bright fortnight till full moon night of the month which is Rakhi Purnima till then various processions of Radha and Krishna are arranged at various parts of the country on behalf of the temples and Vaishnav groups of these places. This festival is to cherish the love of all lovers. Depicting that even nature blooms with all its vigor during this season, you can see flowers, fruits, and beautiful aroma all around.

Recap- In the last episode, we have read that Anuj has gone to meet Saksham and arom there they were supposed to move towards the camp. Saksham was doing the packing and in the mean while they were discussing various topics such as shoe allotment from NCC, cooking, food and bean sprouts. Suddenly Anuj asked a question that why Saksham does not stay with his family. Now let’s see what happened further:

Episode 3

Shaksham kept quiet for a while, then he said, “Let’s go, the laundryman imposed by closing his shop, now we should leave from here, it is eight o’ clock already”. Then he picked his bag and hung it on the back and in right hand he carried his holdall in which he covered his bedding, he quickly locked the door of his room and kitchen and move towards the main gate of the house, Anuj followed him silently and Shaksham locked the main gate as well.

Saksham and Anuj passed through the street with silence in the dim light of lamp posts. They came on the main market road and Shaksham broke the silence and asked to Anuj, “To whom you give your clothes for laundry” Anuj replied, “to Teja, behind the Tularam’s grocery store near railway station”, “ok” Shaksham admitted and they processed towards Teja’s laundry with swift feet. Teja the washer man, he was the most laborious person with a mustache. His looks made him seem so strict and rude but he was very jolly by nature. We respected him for his work always because he was the reason behind we looked always “impressive” with our neat and clean outfits. He is good and reliable for us.

Know Unknown Facts about India on Independence Day

Hey! Today we are celebrating the completion of 70 years of Independence. On 15th August 2017, our honorable Prime Minister Modi is going to inaugurate 71st day of Independence. Isn’t it amazing but there are still some facts which are not well known to all.

Do you know who introduced national flag of India?  It was actually Pingali Venkayya who introduced the idea of the national flag at Bezwada in 1921. The concept was of the tri-color which consisted Red and green depicting the two major communities of the country with white representing all other community in the middle along with a spinning wheel. Gandhiji’s contribution was to add white color and spinning wheel representing progress. This was later modified where red color was changed to saffron and spinning wheel with Ashoka Chakra.

Do you know when and where the first place to hoist the National Flag was? The date is 7th August 1906 and not 15th August 1947. The place was Parsee Bagan Square at Green Park Calcutta. And the flag was composed of three strips of color red, yellow and green. The red strip at the top had eight roses embossed in a row. There was a white sun on the left side and white crescent and star on the right of the green strip.

Recap- Last week Saksham was preparing to attend Moradabad camp. He was sitting enjoying the view and nature from quarter’s window, all of a sudden there was somebody knocking at his door, named Anuj who was a Junior N.C.C Cadet in Hindu Inter College. Anuj was also going to take participation in the camp. Saksham was doing his packing and was having a good conversation with Anuj. They were talking about allotment of new shoes from NCC office.

Here is a story for all who were associated with National Cadet Corp- NCC can relate to.  The story is of the year 2008- 2009. School days are the ideal time when students get fully motivated and involved with NCC. Fun, learning, team bonding- lot more that drags you to it. Same had happened here in the story. This story is of Saksham- a below average merit based boy from a small town of Uttar Pradesh, who evolved into an Entrepreneur. Saksham was the youngest son of his family, his father had expired long back when he was of five years old. He and his brother were sent to his maternal uncle’s house for further studies due to the financial crisis. Because of the sudden demise of his father and other family issues, led him to remain distracted and off from the world. During his school days, he joined NCC, just out of interest which later became the most important part of his life.
